Maxine Marie Lannoye

Maxine Marie Lannoye (nee Kunstman), age 91, of Green Bay, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on June 1, 1934, to Vernon and Cynthia (nee Denny) Kunstman, Maxine attended Green Bay East High School. She worked for several years at Saint Vincent Hospital before marrying Gerald W. Lannoye on June 18, 1955, at Saint Peter and Paul Church in Green Bay. Their marriage lasted 41 years until Gerald’s passing in 1996, and the two remained inseparable throughout their life together. Maxine found joy in watching Green Bay Packers games, attending her children’s and grandchildren’s events, fishing, and spending peaceful time with Gerald at the family cottage in Townsend, Wisconsin. She especially cherished the holidays once her grandchildren arrived. Even after dementia entered her life, she maintained a happy, positive outlook that endeared her to everyone around her. Her aides often remarked on her humor and upbeat, go-lucky spirit.

She is survived by her sons, Brian Lannoye of Chicago and Gregory (Cheryl Rennells) Lannoye of Grayslake, Illinois; four grandchildren, Drew Lannoye of Madison, Stuart Lannoye of Wauconda, Illinois, and Mathew and Michael Gross of Madison, along with their father, Jeffrey Gross of De Pere; sisters-in-law Joan Lannoye and Shirley Kunstman, both of Green Bay, and Claire (Leroy) Terrien of Junction City, Oregon; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Cynthia Kunstman; her brother, Ronald Kunstman; her sisters, Gail Kunstman and Marcella Walton; her daughter, Tina Gross; and her parents-in-law, John F. and Mildred (Spude) Lannoye.
