Maximus Cary Espinoza

Maximus Cary Espinoza, 24, passed away on Sunday March 15, 2026. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday March 21, 2026 at 11am at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.

Maximus was born on November 1, 2001, in Farmington, New Mexico, to Edward Espinoza and Catherine. He later made his home in Sanford, where he grew up and graduated from Southern Lee High School in 2020. Following high school, Maximus worked in the HVAC field, where he continued to advance.

Maximus loved spending time with his family and those closest to him. Whether it was sharing laughs, making memories, or simply being together, family meant everything to him. He also had a deep love for music, which was always a big part of his life and something that brought him joy.

He is survived by his loving mother, Catherine; his dad, Santos; his sister, Trinity; and his brothers, Manuel and Andres. He is also survived by his grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

Maximus was preceded in death by his father, Edward Espinoza; his grandmother, Patricia Cowan; his grandfather, Cary Cowan; Jose Victor Hernandez, Benji Espinoza, Reuben Espinoza, Antonio Espinoza, and Marcella Espinoza; as well as Jerel Salazar.

Maximus was the light of our lives. Though the world feels dimmer without him, we hold onto the love and memories he gave us. We take comfort in knowing that one day we will see him again.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew him.
