Maximino “Max” Jimenez, 84, of Waltham, formerly of Marlborough, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico on November 18, 1941, he was the beloved son of the late Regino and Catalina Jimenez (Bonilla). A kind, caring man of deep faith, Max possessed a warmth and sociability that drew people to him. His ready smile could light up any room, and he cherished the connections he made with friends and neighbors, especially through his neighborhood walking club.
With an extraordinary work ethic, Max pursued higher education before beginning a distinguished career with the Waltham Police Department. He served his community with integrity and dedication, always prioritizing the well-being of those he protected. Later in his career, he transitioned to the corporate world, where he held a leadership position as a manager at Raytheon Corporation. There he led with empathy and respect, earning the admiration of colleagues and those he mentored.
Max was a man of culture who embraced life with worldly experience and refined taste, whether in food, music, travel, or the company he kept. Above all, he dearly loved his wife, family, and friends, and his kindness and unwavering dedication to them will be remembered always.
He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings Elisa A. Jimenez and Jose Jimenez. Max is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Germaine Jimenez (Doiron) of Waltham; his beloved daughter, Betsy and her family; his brothers Domingo Jimenez of Waltham, Ismael Jimenez of Nebraska, Felix Jimenez and his wife Jacinta of Waltham, Israel Jimenez and his wife Janet of Medfield, and Angel R. Jimenez of Parker, Colorado; his sisters-in-law Annette and her husband Efrain Diana, Leona and her husband Marcelino Cotto, and Dianna Doiron; and his brothers-in-law Jean-Paul Doiron and his partner Lisette Springer, and Guy Doiron and his partner Ali Ward. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
