Mavis Cornett

Mavis Cornett, 47, of Hustonville, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Born on March 16, 1978, to the late Macklin and Katherine Cornett, she was known for her creativity and love of crafts and music. She possessed a huge heart and remained a devoted member of Hustonville Baptist Church, where she volunteered regularly at the food pantry.

Mavis is survived by her sons, Jacob and Noah Goins, both of Hustonville; the father of her children, Mark Goins, of Richmond, along with his mother Gladys Goins of Hustonville and sister Jennifer Goins of California; her brother, Aaron Cornett (Amber) of Harrodsburg; her sister, Jessica Cornett (Marty Cornish) of Hustonville; and her nieces and nephews, Mackenzie Cornett, Hannah Cornett, Waylon Cornett, Paisley Cornett, Cody Davis, Skyler Cornett, Shalinda Cornett, and Kayla Cochran. She was preceded in death by her sister, Melissa Cochran, in addition to her parents.

Her family will remember her gentle spirit and the love she showed to those around her.
