Maureen Simonelli

Maureen Simonelli, 78, beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, daughter, and sister, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on May 30, 1947, in Providence, Rhode Island, she made her home for many years in Johnston, Rhode Island, where she formed deep connections within her community.

She is survived by her daughters Jeannine Simonelli and Dawn Mollo, her son-in-law Dino Mollo, her cherished grandchildren Johnny Lamantia and Britney Conover and her husband Raymond Conover, and her sister Janice O’Shea. Maureen was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Francis G. Simonelli, her father Manuel Andrea, her mother Mary Andrea (Faldago), and her brother Michael Andrea. She also shared a close and meaningful bond with her in-laws and held many treasured friendships throughout her life.

Those closest to her knew of her deep love for music and bingo, and the immense joy she found in being surrounded by family, especially during the winter holidays filled with love and laughter. Maureen will be remembered for her gentle spirit, warmth, devotion to her family, and the quiet kindness she showed to others, qualities that echo the sentiment of her favorite song, “Summer Wind.” Her love and memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
