Matthew Fox ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Merchant Funeral Home - Clarkston on Mar. 13, 2026.Matthew James Fox, 65, of Clarkston, died Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at his home.Matthew was born August 7, 1960, in Medford, Oregon to Jim Doherty and Laureen Kirsch Fox. He graduated from Hellgate Highschool in 1979 before he enlisted in the United States Army.He was a capable man and had many trades. He worked in the oil fields in Wyoming, plumbing and maintenance, a welder, groundskeeper, and served the LC Valley as a car salesman before finding his final passion, feeding our community as a chef.Matthew loved his hobbies, fishing, camping, golf, bowling, playing frisbee with his dog, swimming, kayaking, motorcycle riding, basketball, watching sports, gardening, and all things music. He was loved by many and a friend to anyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed.He is survived by his mother, Laureen Fox. Daughters, Jamie and Victoria Fox. Sisters, Lorie Butterly, Dawn Jentz, Linda Michael, Cheryl Green, and his four legged friend Blaze Fox.He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Doherty. Grandparents, Loretta and Jim Babb. Step-Father, Don Fox and his first wife, Toni Fox.There will be a Recitation of the Rosary, Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Holy Family Catholic Church.
