Matthew Douglas Taylor, 43, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on March 5, 2026, in Amarillo, Texas.

Matthew was born on December 17, 1983, in Snyder, Texas, to Douglas and Gloria Taylor.

He attended school in Odessa, Texas, where he was known for his natural talent in arts.

Matthew was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Gloria Taylor.

He is survived by his siblings Joshua Abalos, Richard Jacob Taylor, and Sara Nicole Taylor.

Matthew’s life was complex, but he was deeply loved by his family. We trust in the mercy, grace, and unfailing love of God, believing that the Lord is the ultimate judge and redeemer of every life. Our prayer is that Matthew has now found the peace that only Christ can give. Though our hearts grieve, we hold on to the hope and promise that God’s love is greater than our understanding.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Martinez Funeral Home, with Sara Taylor, sister of Matthew Taylor, officiating.

Arrangements are under the care of Martinez Funeral Home.
