Matthew "Pops" Denoyer

Matthew William “Pops” Denoyer, age 73, of Lake Orion, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born in January 1953 to Bob and Gladys Denoyer, he was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Phil and Bobby (Cindy) Denoyer, and his faithful dog Dakota.

He is survived by his children Tim (Courtney) Denoyer, Melissa (Lee) Eckert, Matthew II (Jessica) Denoyer, and Robert (Michelle) Denoyer; his grandchildren Matthew III, Lilliana, Chloe, Kaley, Kady, Alex, and Elena; and his great-grandchildren Kingston and Grayson. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and many dear friends from every season of his life.

Known affectionately as “Pops” to countless people, Matthew was deeply loved by family and friends alike. He found great joy in helping his neighbors with mowing or any task that was needed, and he cherished watching the geese and deer that visited his yard as well as the many children who played there. His greatest happiness came from helping others and seeing them happy.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
