Matthew Anthony Thompson

Matthew Anthony Thompson, 43, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away in Mt. Pocono, Pennsylvania. Born on December 7, 1982, in Staten Island, New York, he was the son of Leslie Thompson and Anthony Thompson.

Raised on Staten Island, Matthew graduated from Port Richmond High School before earning his MBA from the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University. He proudly served in the United States Navy, stationed in San Diego, and received an honorable discharge. Matthew enjoyed listening to hip hop music, maintained a regular gym routine, and was a devoted Miami Dolphins fan with a passion for sports and collecting team jerseys.

He cherished family trips upstate and to Pennsylvania as a child. In adulthood, he loved traveling with his wife, Joselyn, visiting New England, Vermont, and Point Pleasant, and exploring destinations around the world including France, Japan, China, and South Korea. Tokyo remained his favorite place. Known for his big heart, great sense of humor, and warm laughter, Matthew was a caring and loving man whose presence touched everyone around him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joselyn; his loving mother, Leslie; his loving father, Anthony; his caring sister, Lynette; and many friends who will cherish his memory.
