Matt Dill

Matt Dill

January 6, 1960 March 14, 2026

Boswell, OK

Matt Dill was born on January 6, 1960, in Andrews, Texas, to Sonny and Elnora Dill. He grew up in Andrews, where he cherished riding his bicycle freely across the county, before the family moved to Boswell, Oklahoma. There, he fondly remembered his father picking him and his brothers up from school to haul hay together. Matt spent his life as a dedicated truck driver, most recently in the Gonzales, Texas, area, where he trained others to haul water from rig sites to disposal facilities. Known for his tireless work ethic, he consistently outpaced drivers half his age.

Matt met the love of his life, Pat Massengale, in Boswell, Oklahoma, and they married in Denison, Texas, on a Tuesday afternoon in July. Together they built a large, loving blended family of six children, their spouses and partners, two bonus children, 29 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Pat; his children Heather Dill Pierce and husband Robert Jr., Matthew Dill and girlfriend Melanie, April Mintz Dill and boyfriend Cody, Tasha Dill Rawls and husband Kennon, Danny Olson, Dustin Dill and partner Trey, Cassandra Dill Cunningham and husband Jon, Jordan Dill and wife Liz, Tiffany York, and Sean Sullivan; and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Laneau Dill Duncan and husband Harry, Mark Dill and wife Zene, Duke Dill and wife Kari, and Veta Dill Massengale and husband Bobby, along with his uncle Gwen Dill, aunts Clem Roper and Odessa Eastwood, sisters-in-law Daisy Wall and husband Tim, Pam Massengale, brother-in-law David Massengale and wife Kathy, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his parents, older brother Dale, younger sister Glori, grandsons Jerricho and Xander, nephew Alex, mother-in-law Betty, and his beloved Grandpuppy Lucy, who followed him within minutes.
