Matt Anderson

Matt Anderson, 51, of Lititz, Pennsylvania, formerly of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on March 12, 2026, from complications following an accident on February 3, 2026. He died peacefully under hospice care with his family by his side.

Born in Lancaster, Matt was the son of James L. Anderson and his wife, Cindy L. Anderson, of Lititz, and the late Susan J. Anderson of Lancaster. A 1992 graduate of Warwick High School, he earned his degree in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg University and later completed a Master of Education. Matt taught elementary school for many years, bringing dedication and warmth to his students until Huntington’s Disease led him to go on disability. In the years that followed, he focused on regular exercise and workouts at the gym as he courageously faced his diagnosis.

His greatest joy in life was his two sons, Jace and Bryce, whom he loved with his whole heart. Matt will be remembered as a devoted father, son, and loyal friend to everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his sons, Jace Anderson and Bryce Anderson; his father, James L. Anderson, and stepmother, Cindy L. Anderson; as well as his cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan J. Anderson, and his brother, Brian R. Anderson.
