Pieterick, age 41, of Cascade passed away peacefully at home of natural causes on March 4, 2026.He was born on July 17, 1984 in Milwaukee, a son of Suzanne Blanchard and the late Thomas Pieterick.Mat worked at Oostburg Concrete, Springs Pools and Spas, and most recently, Buteyn-Peterson.He enjoyed woodworking, Harley motorcycles, shooting guns, and adding hot sauce on everything. Most of all, he enjoyed golfing and fishing with his son Colton, going to the park with Layla, and cooking with Sadie.Mat is survived by: His three children, Sadie, Colton, and Layla; mother, Sue Blanchard; four sisters, Mandy Pieterick, Kristi (Andrew) TenHaken, Michelle Flanagan, and Katelyn (Louis) Drust; as well as many other relatives and friends.He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Pieterick.A Celebration of Mat's life will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to help Mat's children with future education and funeral costs.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
