Master Nathan Simmons

Master Nathan Grant Simmons, age five weeks, of Gibson, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Born into a loving family, little Nathan brought brief but profound joy to all who knew him. He is remembered as a precious son and brother whose short time on earth touched the hearts of everyone around him.

He is survived by his mother, Rebecca Simmons; father, Freddie Gay, Jr.; brother, Nickolas Simmons; sister, Nancy Simmons; grandparents, Tonya and Michael Clark, Mark Simmons II, Troy Bales, and Marie Bales; aunt, Rhiannon (Jonathan) Valdes; and uncle, Mark Simmons III.

A funeral service was held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel with Pastor Matt Betosky officiating. Burial followed in the Cooper Cemetery in Gibson. Pallbearers were Mark Simmons III, Koby Kobetitsch, CJ Kobetitsch, and Brantley Lindsey.
