She was predeceased by: her parents, Avril K. Reese and Ivy Lambert Reese; her children, Edward Shaffer and Juanita Shaffer; and her brothers, Kenneth, Jim and Paul Reese.

She is survived by: her husband Ira Walter Shaffer; her children, Jack Shaffer (Ardale Stone) of Penn Hills and Ira Shaffer Jr. (Linda) of Washington Twp; her grandchildren, Nick Camerota (Shannon Buncher), Dana Knox (Alvin), Jonathan Shaffer and Noella Shaffer; her great grandchildren, Cole and Chase Camerota; and her sisters, Hazel Newton of East Vandergrift, Danneth Colder of Vandergrift, Aretta Curran of Vandergrift, Dorothy "Dot" Barr of Kittanning, Donna Ross of Colorado and Arlene "Kay" Burke (Thomas) of West Leechburg.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (1668 PA-56, Apollo, PA 15613).
