MaryJane Allen ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Abbey Cremation Service - Rocky Hill on Mar. 9, 2026.MaryJane Elizabeth DiMauro Allen, 84, of Middletown, Ct, passed away peacefully at her home on March 3, with her loving family by her side.Born on May 23, 1941, in Derby, Ct, MaryJane was the beloved daughter of Rosario and Philomena DiMauro of Rockfall.MaryJane spent many years working in the guidance office at Middletown High School, a job she deeply loved. She had a genuine passion for helping students and took great pride in supporting and encouraging them as they found their way forward.MaryJane's faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She loved to read and enjoyed many books throughout her life. She was especially devoted to reading her Bible each day and lived her life with kindness and compassion for others.Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and was happiest when everyone was together. She also enjoyed trips to the casino and playing bingo with her friends.MaryJane will be remembered for her strength, her devotion to those she loved, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life. She was someone people naturally turned to for advice, guidance, and steady support, and her love and memory will remain in our hearts forever.She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Patricia DiMauro Chamis of Jupiter, Florida, and Diane Woodman of Iowa; and her great-granddaughter, Madison Allen of Saint Petersburg, Florida.MaryJane is survived by her sister, Donna Dechaine Boutin and her husband, Michael Boutin, of Rockfall.She leaves behind her two devoted sons, William James Allen and his partner, Krista Sanborn, of Hebron, and James Hugo Allen Jr. and his wife, Bonnie Allen, of Rockfall.She was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren: Christopher Allen and his wife, Erin Allen; Amanda Allen and her fiancé, Matt Bergeron; Nicholas Allen; Brianna Boutin; and Diana Allen.She also leaves behind her nephews, Michael and Brian Chamis, and niece Lisa Rankin.A private service will be held by the family.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
