Maryann Dalon

Maryann Dalon, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at Oceanside Rehab and Nursing Center in Rockport, Massachusetts. Born on July 31, 1939, in Quincy, Massachusetts, she was raised by her Sicilian grandparents and her mother, Rose Comparato Upton. A graduate of the Massachusetts School of Art in Boston, Maryann went on to live in Gloucester, where she devoted herself to her lifelong passion for painting.

Surrounded by the coastal beauty of lighthouses, ocean landscapes, and flower fields, she created vibrant works that she proudly framed and shared at the many art festivals she loved to attend. Maryann was the devoted mother of seven children and took great joy in her large family. She cherished her 15 grandchildren and was known for remembering each of their birth dates with care.

She will be remembered for her generosity, her light-hearted sense of humor, and the warmth and love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her.
