It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Wilson (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. You may also light a candle in honor of Mary Wilson or send a beautiful flower arrangement to the funeral service.

Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Cunconan and Genevieve Cunconan (Richards); her husband John Wilson; her siblings, Betty Lou Cunconan and Terry Cunconan; and her son-in-law Paul Doke.

She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Doke, Sandra Layton (Kent), Michelle Wilson and Ginger Kimbro (Jim). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (5711 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
