Mary Weigl, née Kertesz, age 93, of Lorain, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Born on November 22, 1932, in Lorain, Ohio, to Michael and Helen Kertesz, Mary spent many years in her hometown before living in Las Vegas for four decades. She returned to Lorain in 2024. She worked for Century Link for 29 years, retiring in 1990.
Mary found quiet joy in tending her cactus garden and visiting the casinos. She is survived by her son, Christopher Weigl; grandson, Robert Weigl; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Samuel; and her sister, Betty Zelnik.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 11 years, Robert Weigl; both of her parents; and many brothers and sisters.
