Mary Thomas

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Thomas of Derby, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Mary's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Mary's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may she find rest in the embrace of eternity.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Loren "Bud" Spencer and Louise Spencer (Becker); and her siblings, Sue Feix (Bill) and Joseph "Joe" Spencer (Jean). She is survived by: her husband Bob Thomas; and her stepsons, Robert "Bob" Thomas Jr. and Mark Thomas. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nine very special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (18020 Lafayette St, Leopold, IN 47551).

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold, Indiana or the St. Mary Cemetery Fund in Derby, Indiana.
