Mary Therese (Diny) Dresdow

Mary Therese (Diny) Dresdow

May 30, 1944 March 12, 2026

Pooler, GA

Mary Therese (Diny) Dresdow, 81, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Born on May 30, 1944, in Greenleaf, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Diny and Antoinette (Vissers) Diny. Raised in the Catholic faith, Mary remained devoted throughout her life, continuing to watch Mass on television in her later years. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in Green Bay and attended St. Norbert College.

Mary enjoyed a long and varied career, serving as a regional manager for several companies before retiring from the Citizen Watch Company. Her life’s journey took her across the country, with equal time spent in Wisconsin, Oregon, and Florida, before she settled in Georgia. She found joy in simple pleasures, including her daily Sudoku puzzles and the company of her beloved dogs, especially her three grand-dogs. Adventurous by nature, she flew a Piper Cub airplane, skydived, and fulfilled her goal of zip-lining before turning 80. Above all, Mary cherished time with family and friends. She had a remarkable gift for connection, never meeting a stranger she didn’t like, and she made friends easily while keeping them close throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband, John (Jack) Dresdow; her sons, Jason Dresdow and Dylan Dresdow; Dylan’s long-time girlfriend, Shelly Yi; Haley Kirchen and her husband, Kent Kirchen; her brother, Jerry Diny; and three sisters-in-law, Carol Diny, Patricia Diny, and Lolita Dresdow. Mary was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: John Diny, Leo Diny, Larry Diny, Nick Diny, and Roselyn (Toddy) Daanen, as well as many in-law siblings, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Mary’s warmth, humor, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
