Mary Teresa DeRosa

Mary Teresa DeRosa passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved daughter of the late Cornelius and Nellie Gallagher. Mary was married to Christie R. DeRosa for 38 years until his passing in 1989. She met Robert Morison in 1991 and enjoyed his loving companionship until her own death.

Born and raised in Arlington, Massachusetts, Mary graduated from Arlington High School. She lived in Arlington and Lexington, Massachusetts, as well as Delray Beach, Florida. She was predeceased by her siblings Joe, Eugene, Cornelius, Catherine Gasper, Helen Murray, and Anne Gallagher, and is survived by her sister Patricia Gallagher.

Mary was the devoted mother of five children: Karen DeRosa, Christie DeRosa, Linda Adams-Plourde, Steven DeRosa, and Kathy DeRosa. She was the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.

She will be remembered as an exceptionally generous woman with a wonderful sense of humor. Mary cherished her family and friends, loved to travel, and was especially fond of visiting casinos. Known for her warm spirit and ability to make everyone feel welcome, she truly never met a stranger. Her love and laughter will remain with all who knew and loved her.
