Mary Lewis ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Bonney Watson Funeral Home - Federal Way on Mar. 1, 2026.Mary Nell Richardson Lewis, 83, peacefully passed away on February 25, 2026, in Federal Way, Washington. She was born on November 14, 1942, in LaMesa, Texas, to H.T. Richardson and Christine Richardson.Mary lived a life marked by strength, resilience, and steady devotion to the people she loved. She carried the spirit of Texas with her throughout her life and brought that grounded warmth to every community she joined. She spent many years in Los Alamos, New Mexico, where she managed The Clothes Rack, a ladies' clothing store she cared for deeply and devoted herself to for over fifteen years. Later, she worked as a real estate agent in Albuquerque, helping families find homes with her characteristic practicality. After moving to Kerrville, Texas, she volunteered at the hospital pharmacy, a role she enjoyed for its sense of purpose and connection. She also loved gardening with her husband, Paul W. Lewis, who preceded her in death in 2009.Mary had a fun laugh and a dry sense of humor that she enjoyed sharing when she was well. She was steady, capable, and deeply committed to her family. She is survived by her daughter, Kim; her brother, Dennis; her nieces, Tyra and Suzanne; and her nephew, Marcus. She was preceded in death by her brother Dean, her husband Paul, and other loved ones who went before her.Mary will be remembered for her strength, her resilience, her dedication to her family, and the quiet warmth she brought into the world.Cremation has taken place, and the family will honor her life privately. Mary and Paul requested to be buried together in the wilderness where my father loved hunting, the Pecos Wilderness in New Mexico. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
