Mary Montague

Mary Montague passed from this life on March 8, 2026, at 8:20 p.m., into the loving arms of her parents, William and Dorothy Gallagher. She was joyfully reunited with her dear friends, Pat and Kathie Moore.

Mary had a smile that lifted everyone’s spirits and a laugh that was truly contagious. A gifted storyteller with a wonderful sense of humor, she delighted her nieces and nephews and found one of her greatest joys in watching her granddaughters, Emily and Olivia, grow. She cherished music, especially the works of Bob Dylan and Janis Joplin, and held a deep affection for her many pets and plants.

She is survived by her husband, Jack; her son, John, and daughter-in-law, Carrie; granddaughters Emily and Olivia; siblings-in-law Jim and Angela Montague of Charlotte, North Carolina, Molly Montague Fisher of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, and Catherine and Mike Treanor of Port St. Lucie, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved “sisters,” Ann Marie Steele and Sharon Blackman.
