She was predeceased by: her parents, William Chance and Mary Chance; her stepdaughter Marla Potter; and her brother Clarence Chance. She is survived by: her husband Jerry McDaniel; her children, Scott Smith and Shelly Canaan; and her stepson Bill McDaniel.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the De Soto Cemetery (34500 W 87th St, De Soto, KS 66018).
