Mary Lucille Thomas

Mary Lucille Thomas, age 81, of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 21, 1944, to David Sr. and Clotine Goodman, Mary was the eldest of three siblings. She lived a life marked by faith, devotion, service, and a deep love for her family and community.

On September 3, 1966, she married Kenneth Eugene Thomas, and together they raised three daughters. A graduate of West High School, Mary later earned an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from the Academy of Court Reporting. She worked for more than 30 years as an accountant with Columbia Gas before retiring and continuing her career as a paralegal with a local law firm.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Mary was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Cathedral for more than 40 years. She found great joy in traveling and in the company of family and friends. Known for her gentle spirit, wisdom, and kindness, she shared her knowledge in loving and encouraging ways. She remembered every birthday with a card or call, and her Sunday dinners became a cherished weekly tradition, prepared with care as an expression of her love.

Mary will be remembered for her selflessness and unwavering devotion as a sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Carolyn Milner (Ron); her daughters, Lisa Thomas, Tina Stewart, and Carol Thomas; her grandchildren, Brian Thomas, Jonathon Thomas, Scott Thomas, Brandon Stewart, Eric Thomas, Aaron Whiteside, and Mary Thomas; her great-grandchildren, Brian, Giavanna, Justice, Zamorah, Briana, Da’Mii, and Eric Jr.; and her best friend, Debbie Summers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Goodman Sr. and Clotine Goodman; her brother, David Goodman Jr.; her great-aunt, Elizabeth Jackson; her aunts, Gaynell Fowlkes and Margaret Hill; and her grandmother, Mary Hill.
