Mary Lou Kukula

Mary Lou Kukula, née O’Neill, passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 82 in Chicago. She was the beloved wife of the late George Kukula and the devoted mother of Michael (Lisa) Kukula, Karen (Randy) Gross, and Donna K. Kukula. Mary Lou was a loving grandmother to Brian and Andrew Kukula, Kevin (Sofia) Gross, Jeffery Gross, Julianne (Joseph) Scipione, Kenneth and Amy Kostanski, and a cherished great-grandmother to Annalise and Liliana Kukula, Benjamin, Christofer and David Gross, and Adelina and Briella Scipione.

She is also survived by her siblings: Dennis (the late Maureen) O’Neill, Kathleen (Robert) Hansen, William (Lexie Neal) O’Neill Jr., Peggy (Jerry) Waller, and Patrick (Cheryl) O’Neill, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember her warmth and spirit.

True to her Irish heritage, Mary Lou’s life was marked by deep family devotion and quiet strength. She leaves behind a large and loving family who will carry forward the values and memories she so generously shared.
