Mary Lou C. Keckley

Mary Lou C. Keckley was born on December 29, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph and Louise (Oster) Meppiel. She passed away on March 7, 2026 at her home in Bonne Terre at the age of 90.

Mary Lou married Carl H. “Pete” Keckley on March 3, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose family remained at the center of her life. She is survived by her son Ronald (Cindy) Keckley of Herculaneum, Missouri; her daughter Karin Keckley; her sister Shirley Pyatt of Bonne Terre, Missouri; grandchildren David P. (Christen) Keckley of Wilmington, North Carolina, Nolan (Desirae) Keckley of Farmington, Missouri, and Cody (Christey) Westover of Wilmington, North Carolina; six great-grandchildren; and her caretaker Steve “Rabbitt” Harris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her son David E. Keckley, her daughter Carla J. Keckley, her brother Joseph Meppiel, and her sister Marg Benson.
