Mary Linda Wheeler

Mary Linda Wheeler, 82, of New Haven, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, Indiana. Born on December 24, 1943, in Grayville, she was the daughter of J.D. and Mamie Lee (Harris) Sullivan. In 2001, Linda married John C. Wheeler, and the couple shared more than 25 years of marriage together. She worked as a nurse at Good Samaritan and with the FBI in Washington, D.C., and found great joy in gardening during her free time.

Linda is survived by her husband of 25 years, John C. Wheeler of New Haven; her daughter, Heather Taylor; grandchildren, Kara and Ezra; and her sister, Jane Risley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jason Hall; and her siblings, Maranna Fritz, Charles Sullivan, and Thomas Sullivan.
