Mary Leffingwell, age 96, of Meadville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Wesbury. Born on July 5, 1929, in Spartansburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth (Scott) Martin.
Mary graduated from Meadville High School in 1947. She began her career in the traffic department at Talon and later devoted more than thirty years to home health care. A longtime member of St. Brigid’s Church, she found quiet joy in playing cards, especially Bridge, and in the lively company of her friends at bingo.
She is survived by her children, James Leffingwell of Denver, Colorado, David Leffingwell of McCall, Idaho, Mark Leffingwell of Erie, Pennsylvania, and Susan Johnston and her husband Brian of Meadville, Pennsylvania; her daughter-in-law, Carol Bates of Denver, Colorado; her grandchildren, Bryan Leffingwell and Tyson Johnston; and her great-granddaughters, Morgan and Ashley Johnston. She is also survived by her former spouse, Robert Leffingwell of Altoona, Pennsylvania. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Martin.
