Born on August 5, 1950, in Bay City, Michigan, Mary's life was a testament to the power of kindness and dedication to family.Mary's journey began as the beloved daughter of Joseph and Helen (Jerome) Glowiak. She grew up surrounded by the warmth of her family, including her sisters Susan Magdefrau and Elizabeth (Jerry) Huizar, and Mary Glowiak. Although her parents and brothers, Wayne and Allen Glowiak, preceded her in death, the values they instilled in her flourished throughout her life.The true essence of Mary's heart was revealed when she met her soulmate, Chris Groulx. Their love story began on June 6, 1975, and together they built a life rich in joy and laughter, welcoming sons Matthew (Jennifer), Patrick (Carol), and Jonathan (Julie). Mary's legacy continued to grow with the birth of her beloved grandchildren Kaitlyn, Hannah, Jonathan, Briar, and Morgan Mendyx, who will forever cherish the memories of their doting grandmother.Mary's passion for education and nurturing young minds was evident in her work at Learning Town and her years teaching kindergarten through third-grade religious education at St. Anne School. Her gentle guidance and unwavering support left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of countless children.A woman of many talents, Mary found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her hands were rarely still, as she expressed her creativity through sewing, her love through baking, and her connection to the earth through gardening. Each stitch, each recipe, and each bloom was a reflection of Mary's loving and generous spirit.Funeral mass will be on Thursday March 19,2026 at Prince of Peace- St. Anne Campus at 11am with Fr. Pentice Tipton presiding with burial at St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2pm till 8pm. On Thursday from 10am till time of mass. In lieu of flowers the family ask for donation to me made to Prince of Peace Parish.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
