She was born on May 12, 1925, in Dunkard, Greene County Pennsylvania.Mary was a house cleaner by trade and a homemaker by heart. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family and fashion. Mary was always dressed to impress no matter where she was going and had a pair of shoes to match. She was a member of Trinity Assembly of God and taught her family to love the Lord.Left to cherish her memory are her sons Gary B Kerns and Tom Gumm, granddaughter Jessica Coleman and great granddaughter Jaela Coleman and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernie Paul Gum, son David Paul Gum and her brothers and sisters.In keeping with her wishes she will be buried at Grandview Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 11:00 am.Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with these arrangements.Memories and condolences can be left for the family at www.carpenterandford.comTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
