Mary Kathleen "Bunny" Wynn, 86, of Ludlow, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. With a soul that warmed the hearts of everyone she met, Bunny brought kindness and joy to her family and community over the course of her remarkable 86 years.
She began her working life in the lunchroom at St. James School in Ludlow, where her warm smile and caring nature left a lasting impression on the students she served each day. She later worked at the deli counter of IGA Grocery in Ludlow, greeting familiar faces and sharing friendly conversations with neighbors and customers. In her later years, she served as a clerk at Buddy’s Pharmacy, where her kindness, helpful spirit, and genuine care for others continued to shine. Throughout her career, Bunny took great pride in serving her community and forming lasting friendships with the many people whose lives she touched.
Bunny had an unparalleled ability to make others feel comfortable and at ease. She was known for always seeing the good in any situation, a quality that inspired those around her. A devoted mother and grandmother, she also possessed a notable talent for sewing and quilting that brought beauty and comfort to her family.
She is survived by her son, James (Sookie) Wynn of Independence; daughters, Diana Harvey of Elsmere, Sheila Wynn of Falmouth, and Linda (Ron) Perry of Independence; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wynn, Jr., and three sisters, including her identical twin sister, Mary Katherine “Kay” Willenborg.
