Mary Katherine Baumer

Mary Katherine Baumer passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Huntsville Hospice. Diagnosed with cancer in October of the previous year, she faced her illness with dignity, determination, and unwavering faith.

Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jerry Baumer, on August 26, 2024. She will be forever lovingly remembered by her sons, Michael Anthony Baumer and his fiancée Tanya of Huntsville, Ontario, and Matthew James Baumer and his wife Suzane of Caledon, Ontario. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Randal John Richard Murray Baumer and his wife Esther, and Eric Christopher Baumer, as well as her brother Tony Reitz and his wife Marilyn, and her sister Rita Brazda and her husband Tad. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Katharina and Peter Reitz, and her in-laws, Erika and Manfred Baumer.

A Celebration of Life was held for Mary on March 28 at Bethel Church in Huntsville, where family and friends gathered to share memories of her life and the love she gave so freely.
