Mary Joanne Card

Mary Joanne Conley Card, 42, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Murphy, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026. She was the daughter of Freddie and Joyce Baldwin Conley. Joanne had been a homemaker. She enjoyed life, spending time with her three sons, traveling, camping, and especially being outdoors. She loved helping others. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Piper Card; sons, William Card, Alex Card and Eli Card; and a sister, Sara Baldwin. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 20, at Clay Barnett Funeral Home in Shelby, N.C., and a second Celebration of Life will be held in Murphy at a later date.
