Preserve forever →Mary Jo Drew
Mary Jo Drew passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 26, 1950, to Thomas and Josephine (Kulesza) Sandusky, she graduated from Kelloggsville High School in 1968. It was there she met the love of her life, Roger Drew. The couple married in 1975 and went on to raise four children together.
After attending beauty school, Mary worked as a hairstylist for several years before she and Roger established Drew’s Used Cars. They soon opened Krazy Kone, which later became Andi Leigh’s Pizza. For more than forty years, Mary poured her heart into the restaurant, where countless customers grew into cherished friends and extended family. She had a deep love for classic cars and cherished summer days spent at car shows. The family enjoyed many memorable trips out west to collect and transport classic vehicles. She also found great joy in watching her grandsons compete in derby events and play football, attending races at Berlin Raceway, and spending time with her beloved granddogs.
Mary is survived by her husband of fifty years, Roger; their children, Jeremy (Jennifer), Andrea (Jody), Jamie (Mike), and Ryan (Michaela); grandchildren Mandie, Keegan, Brody, Angel, Lexy, Carter, Michael, Gage, Ryann, and Ayden; great-grandson Brayden; siblings Sandra Zylstra, Tommy Sandusky (Betsy), and Debbie Sandusky; brothers-in-law Larry (Sally) Drew and Robert (Bella) Drew; and many dear friends and family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, and her brother-in-law Wayne Zylstra. In accordance with her wishes, Mary was cremated. A celebration of life will be held by her family in the spring.
