Mary "Janice" Jeffries

Mary “Janice” Jeffries, 90, of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Aventura at Pembrooke in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Born on January 1, 1936, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Albert R. McCubbin and Ida “Lucille” Lamdin McCubbin. She was the beloved wife of the late James Edgar Jeffries, who passed away in 1985.

Janice worked for a time as a receptionist at Harford Community College. She is survived by her son, Keith James Jeffries and his wife Emiko Jeffries of Bel Air, Maryland, her grandchildren Indiana Keith Jeffries and Daniel Adam Diacont, Sr., and her great-grandchildren Daniel Adam Diacont, Jr. and Hayley Rainey Diacont.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Kimberly Hope Emerson, who passed away on September 20, 2023, and by her sister, Doris Zeller.
