Mary Jean Clark

Mary Jean Clark, 91, of Easley, South Carolina, passed away peacefully. Born in Anderson, South Carolina, she was the only child of the late Harold Fields and Bertha Branyon Fields. She was preceded in death by two sons, one great-grandson, and four aunts.

A graduate of Anderson Girls High School, Mary was a private person who loved and cared for her family and friends in her own quiet, steadfast way. A longtime member of Glenwood Baptist Church, she sang in the choir for many years and was an active member of the Gleaners Golden Circle.

She is survived by her husband, Franklin R. Clark; four sons and one daughter, who lovingly cared for her mother for many years; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. Her family often brought her fresh flowers, a simple gesture that brought her quiet joy.
