Mary Janet Forrester

Mary Janet Forrester, 70, of Riverton, Wyoming, passed away on March 9, 2026, at SageWest Hospital in Riverton. Born on November 16, 1955, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, she was one of four children born to Joe Archie Gold and Janet Jane (Kress) Gold. She grew up in Casper, where she attended school, later moving to the Pavillion area before making her home in Riverton in the mid-1980s.

Mary devoted many years to caregiving as a CNA at the former Riverton Manor, working alongside her mother, Janet Dillavou. She later served as Activities Director at the Riverton Senior Center until her retirement. She found quiet joy in working puzzles, crocheting, and staying connected with others on Facebook.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Forrester and his wife Toni of Guernsey, Wyoming, and Mike Forrester and his wife Selma of Casper, Wyoming; her grandchildren Shadow, Shaide, Skie, and Savannah; Colista Connelly and husband Peyton of Casper and their children Myla, Kaij, and Adesza; Samantha Williams and husband Caleb; and Shadow Forrester and his fiancée Skye Anderson and their daughter Elaina. She is also survived by her brothers Raymond Gold and Tony Gold, and her sister Karen Houston and husband Mike.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Archie Gold and Janet Jane Dillavou, and her brother Roger Gold.
