Mary Jane Whittaker, born on February 3, 1942, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 27, 2026. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to her family.

Mary is survived by her beloved children, Ken (Debbie), Melanie (Steve), Jeff (Terri), and Missy (Scott). She was a proud grandmother to Shawndra, Jimmy, Kelley, Chelsea, Sheana, Shawnna, Ashlee, Nic, Skyler, and Becca, and she found immense joy in her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mary also leaves behind nieces and nephews who adored her. Among her closest confidants was her sister and best friend, Diana Rife.

Mary proudly stated that her greatest accomplishment was the love and care she gave to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

She was a good Christian woman who loved the Lord with all her heart.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Whittaker, and her parents, Charles Bruce and Emma Darst. She was also reunited in death with her sisters, Joyce Geyer and Donna Grimes, and her brother, John Bruce.

Visitation will be held on March 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 PM  that same day. Friends and family are welcome to gather to celebrate Mary’s life and the love she shared with all.
