Mary Jane Slocum-Chebo passed away on March 12, 2026, leaving her family heartbroken. A woman of immense strength and compassion, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by her unwavering commitment to others.

A proud and dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous for more than 47 years, Mary Jane served as a pillar of support and a cherished friend to countless individuals on the road to recovery. She deeply valued the bonds formed within the program and remained always available to offer guidance, hope, and a helping hand to those in need. Her legacy of service will continue to inspire the many lives she touched.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Brian Chebo; her loving daughters, Dienne (Todd) Hatch (née Mickey) and Nancy (Curtis) Mickey-Masavage; and her cherished grandchildren, Amanda (Tyler), Desirea, Kristie, Nick, Torie, Donny, Jack, and Caroline. She was a proud great-grandmother to Autumn, Ryan, Hannah, Reagan, and Leah. Mary Jane also leaves behind her siblings, Bill and Charlotte, along with 13 nieces and nephews and a large community of cousins. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Nancy and Charles “Bucko.”
