Mary Jane Quillman

Mary Jane Quillman, 87, of Centre Township, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in the Orwigsburg Center. She was the wife of the late Carl R. Quillman, Jr., who died on June 16, 1997.

Born in Mohrsville, she was the daughter of the late Forrest S. and Mildred V. (Baer) Machmer. Mary Jane worked as a cook at the Perry Dutch Restaurant and the Leesport Market, and she also tended fruit and vegetable stands at the Leesport Market. She found quiet joy in crafts, watching the Game Show Network, tending her flower beds, solving crossword puzzles, and coloring.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane L. (Quillman) Reed and her husband Robert Reed of Centre Township; four granddaughters, Jennifer A. (Quillman) and her husband Robert Drago, Andrea N. (Quillman) and her husband Chris Esch, Kaitlynn K. Quillman, and Kristen L. Quillman; four great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Traci K. (Hartman) Quillman. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth Marko and Evelyn Hoppes. Mary Jane was predeceased by her son, Ronald L. Quillman; her granddaughter, Rebecca M. Quillman; and her three brothers, Dale E. Machmer, Kenneth C. Machmer, and Forrest A. Machmer.
