Mary Jane Lapinski

Born on November 7, 1926 in Detroit, Mary Jane Lapinski was the daughter of Anthony and Helen Agnello. Mary died March 13, 2026 in her sleep. She was 99 years old.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Hank in 1966 at the age of 39. Dearest mother of Michael (Vicki) Lapinski, Kathy (Mark) Cosgrove and Donna (Greg) Gaworecki. Loving sister of Betty (Frank) Schramm, Carolyn (late Patrick) McTevia, late Dorothy (late Leonard) Olinzock, late Virginia (late Harold) Bridgman, late Lillian (late Roy) Carter, late Annette Shepard, late Frank (Marge) Agnello and late Tony Agnello. Proud grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The children brought an instant smile to her face.

Mary was upbeat and strong throughout her life. Her over-riding life goals were to live to be 100 and to live in her home in Allen Park. Her life long hobby was embroidery.  She was an aficionado of Hallmark and sent cards to family and friends on all special occasions.

Mary Jane's funeral mass will take place at 12:00pm Friday, March 20 (In state at church from 11:30am) at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 9000 Laurence (at Wick), Allen Park.

Cremation will take place following her funeral mass.
