Mary Jane James, age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
Born on March 25, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late George John and Gladys (Trisler) Rasing, Mary Jane lived a life rooted in faith and family. She shared many years with her loving husband, Eugene F. James, and remained deeply connected to her extended family throughout her life.
She is survived by her beloved goddaughter, Pammie (James) Dovalosky, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who cherished her. Mary Jane was also grateful for the compassionate care she received from the staff at Shurmer Place.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene F. James; her siblings, Eileen “Sis” Behner, George Rasing, Robert Rasing, and Kenneth Rasing; and her parents, George and Gladys Rasing.
