Mary Watt ObituaryPublished by Legacy on Mar. 5, 2026.On Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 6:33 p.m., Mary Grace (Knittle) Watt, supported byfamily and staff for several months, died at Help for Health Hospice in Riverton,Wyoming.Mary was born on January 25, 1930 in Douglas, Wyoming, the fifth child ofRichard and Fanne Knittle. She was raised in Pavillion and graduated fromNatrona County High School in Casper, Wyoming in 1948. She married HarmonWatt, Jr. in Riverton on February 3, 1951. She and Harmon went on to share ahistoric home in Riverton and have four lovely children.In addition to being a very loving and supportive mother, and providing afirm foundation for her husband, Harmon, who was very active in the community,she herself was also very active in the community. Most notably she and Harmonplayed a significant role in establishing Sertoma Senior Citizen Housing inRiverton. And Mary went on to manage the books as a volunteer for 25 years. Shewas also a member of the Riverton Country Club, where she wrote, directed andacted in several plays, and was active in several bridge clubs over the years. Sheloved the Wyoming landscape and wildlife, was an excellent cook, readvoraciously, worked crossword and jigsaw puzzles, but most of all loved to carefor and visit with family.Mary is survived by all four children, her son, Glenn Watt and wife Diana;daughter, Margaret Shaw and husband Rod (deceased); daughter, Susan Neustromand husband Steve; and daughter, Sally Watt; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah,Kristen, Garrett, Ben, Sessily, Erik, Brady and Gaelen; two very close nieces, Ann(Schaefer) Dawson and Jean (Schaefer) Yennie; as well as six great grandchildren;and four other nephews and two nieces, all of whom she absolutely adored.Her family thanks all those who have come forward to share their stories ofher impact in their lives, and the many incredible, wonderful people associatedwith Help for Health Hospice. We cannot thank them enough for their large heartsand dedicated care for her in her final few months. There will be no service, andany donations may go to Help for Health Hospice. They provide a rare andextremely valuable service to the community.
