Mary Frances O’Connor

Mary O’Connor passed away at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Niles, Illinois, at the age of 84.

Born Mary Frances O’Connor to the late Edmund O’Connor and Janet Chmielewski on May 9, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, she is survived by her son, John Kinstler, and her brothers, John and Mike.

She met her future husband, Barron Kinstler, while working at Lawter International, and the couple welcomed their son, John, in 1973. Mary spent the remainder of her career with the American Red Cross, devoting herself to providing disaster relief to communities across the country.

An enthusiastic amateur photographer and lifelong traveler, she visited every state in the United States and captured countless images along the way. She filled her home with art and warmth, and she will be deeply missed by her family and the many friends she made throughout her life.
