Mary Frances Langdon, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of 101. Born on November 12, 1924, in Fulton, Michigan, she was the daughter of Corliss and Bessie (Sherman) Weimer. A lifelong resident of Fulton, Mary Frances was a true farm girl who cherished her animals, her family, and chocolate. Her charming and witty personality touched everyone who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of devotion and joy.
She attended Fulton Elementary and graduated from Athens High School with the Class of 1942 alongside her future husband, Stanford Langdon. After Stanford returned from military service, they married on April 16, 1951, at the Fulton Christian Church. Their marriage lasted more than 67 years until Stanford’s passing in 2017. Together they lived on the family farm, raising their children and many animals, which brought Mary Frances deep joy and contentment.
Mary Frances raised goats and chickens, sold eggs throughout the Fulton community, and faithfully attended her grandchildren’s sporting and school events. She enjoyed sewing, reading romance novels, collecting loon figurines, and indulging in chocolate. A longtime member of the Fulton Christian Church, she served on the board and participated in the Women’s Fellowship, reflecting her strong faith and commitment to her community.
She is remembered by her family as hardworking, loyal, funny, and possessed of a quiet strength that inspired those around her. Mary Frances loved her life and never complained. Her work ethic, resilience, and contagious laugh will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanford; her sister, Doris Norton; and her son-in-law, Jack Miller.
Mary Frances is survived by her four children, Debbie Miller of Athens, Becky Langdon of Fulton, Mark Langdon of Fulton, and Andy (Kathy) Langdon of Missouri; five grandchildren, Pastor Noah (Anne) Miller of Climax, Hannah (Mike) Klein of Athens, Abigail Norton of Athens, Matthew (Lindsay) Langdon of Missouri, and Ashley Langdon of Tennessee; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
