Greenwood, SC

Mary Frances Haston, 85, formerly of Greenwood, widow of Dean Haston, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at The Renaissance Senior Living.

Born on September 29, 1940, in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Branch Alexander Hall and Mary Price Hall. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, reading and keeping up with current events-often with Fox News on the television and her favorite show, Judge Judy, close behind. Mary especially loved cooking and was happiest in the kitchen preparing Sunday dinners or hosting family during the holidays. Those meals and moments around her table created memories that her family will cherish forever. Mary was a member of the South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was in the Sunshine Club, Sertoma Club and the Elizabeth Shannon Sunday School class.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Eddy; and her beloved cats, Katie and Gracie.

Surviving are her children, Kevin Haston (Esther) and Stacey Zorn (Bill); grandchildren, Chris Haston (Serena), Amy Day (Michael), Andrew Jay (Kristen), Erin Ashley (Trevor), Tyler Jay (Briteny), Brianne Jay, Madison Haston and Alexandra Crowe (Forest); and twenty-four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Harley Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at Harley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Family members are at their respective homes.
