(Mott) Monn, age 86, of Burnsville, MN, passed away at home on March 7, 2026.Mary was born on February 18, 1940, in St. Paul, MN, to Charles "Lester" and Marion (Mackin) Mott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Monn; her parents; and her twin brothers, James and John Mott.A 1958 graduate of Our Lady of Peace High School, Mary later attended the University of Minnesota before beginning her career at 3M. She transitioned into motherhood and lovingly raised her four children while working various jobs, including preparing tax returns, providing childcare, and serving in food service at the University of St. Thomas.Deeply valuing education and the arts, Mary returned to school and proudly earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts from the University of St. Thomas.Mary loved traveling and took trips whenever she could. Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, and Ireland were among her favorite destinations, admired for their rich history and museums.Mary was energetic, athletic, and passionate about staying active. She enjoyed running, working out, and participating in many forms of exercise. At her Gramercy residence, she joined several clubs and even led exercise classes for friends and neighbors.Mary was a devoted family woman who cherished each member deeply. She is survived by her children: Lori (Bill) Leininger, Kelly (Dave) Laurent, Stacey (Tom) Cavanaugh, and Kevin (Alanna) Monn; her grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Dylan, and Cassidy Leininger; Megan and Molly Laurent; Elliot, Ellen, and Emily Cavanaugh; and Sofia and Ethan Monn; and her great grandchildren, Evyn and Ellie Laurent. She loved each of them unconditionally. Mary was truly one of a kind and will be dearly missed.A special thank you to the associates at Arbors Burnsville for their great care.A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 27.
