Mary Ellen Fekete, age 88, of Mantua Township, New Jersey, passed away at home on March 10, 2026. Born in Ford City, Pennsylvania, to the late Calvin Baker and Velma Hartman, she graduated from Elderton High School in 1955. In 1957, she married the love of her life, Thomas Anthony Fekete Sr., and together they raised two children. Mary worked for Sony Music in Pitman until her retirement in 2000.
A longtime member of the Church of the Incarnation in Mantua, Mary was active in the church’s Senior’s Club and Young at Heart Club. She cherished hosting friends and family in her home and enjoyed the companionship of neighbors in Maplewood Village. She found joy in playing cards and games, arranging flowers, creating crafts, and traveling. Her favorite destinations included family trips to Wildwood, bus excursions, visits to western Pennsylvania and South Carolina, and journeys across the United States and Canada.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas A. Fekete Sr.; her daughter, Deborah MacMaster and her husband, Robert, of Glassboro, New Jersey; her son, Thomas A. Fekete Jr. and his wife, Beth, of Inman, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Stephen Pastore, Thomas A. Fekete III and his wife, Kristin, Nicole Cossabone and her husband, Frank, and Michael Fekete; seven great-grandchildren, Gianna and Stephen Pastore III, Frankie, Rosalina and Nicolina Cossabone, and McCrae and Sadie Fekete; her sister, Mable Waterson of Ford City, Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Carl Baker, and her sister, Alice Riggle.
