Mary D. Lockett, 90, of Manchester, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at her home. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she later lived in Greenwood, Pennsylvania, before moving to New Jersey in 1962. She resided in Kearny until 2012, when she settled in Manchester. For many years, Mary worked as a seamstress at the Miller Casket Company in Kearny, retiring 25 years ago.
She remained active throughout her life, participating in numerous clubs at Leisure Village West, where she enjoyed yoga, swimming, and dancing. Mary found quiet pleasure in reading, particularly cookbooks, and in listening to Christian and country music.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Lockett, in 2010, her brother, Edward Snopek, and her sister, Joan McDonald. Mary is survived by her sons, Paul (Melanie) Lockett, Larry (Lyuba) Lockett, and Tracy (Jennifer) Lockett, her daughters, Debra (Salvatore) Cascino and Linda (John) Lindquist, 17 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
